Taco Bell's new purple soda is a big 'screw you' to MAHA (fastcompany.com)

It's actually an FU to everyone with a pancreas, a liver, and kidneys.

Oddly enough, I'm having difficulty finding plain Mt Dew Zero and other similar zero soda varieties in hill country. And, I'm happy to buy syrup and do the soadstream thing. I just don't like HFCS or EU-banned additives, and that's not a political matter.

I'm considering trying to make a ginger bug and soda from that. There is necessarily sugar involved for the biological processes to happen. But you know exactly what is added to it.

Just drink water. Use the Soda Stream to make it sparkling. I do that and find it very refreshing.

How is this anything but a slightly cheeky 'screw you' to MAHA? Want to send MAHA an actual big 'screw you'? Advocate for fluoridated water. Get all your vaccines and have your kids up-to-date on theirs. Cook with seed oils. In moderation. Support and accommodate your neurodivergent friends and family. Avoid fad diets. Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants.

It’s delicious fwiw, although zero sugar Baja Blast remains my fav.

Is it available outside of Taco Bell? Preferably with a zero calorie option.

I'm sure 80's era mad cow-containing beef and lead (II) acetate were delicious too. Delicious isn't the most important attribute.

It’s a Taco Bell exclusive with no zero calorie option as of this comment.

I’ll see if I can find out, just had it tonight at a Taco Bell.
