Doge Is Building a Surveillance State (nytimes.com)

I'll bet $100 that the next Democrat president will not dismantle this new system.

Isn't that what PRISM and other programs were anyway? The USA as a surveillance state is a known fact. Past and present tense.

Or is it just a piece to concentrate efforts against the big techs?

As a piece to concentrate efforts, it sounds disingenuous. Maybe the goal is to sound disingenuous to catch who didn't get the memo? Damn, so much spinning you guys are doing, but it still looks the same thing.

I have no hope of fighting against such thing (I am not a fighter by the way). No one worthy of demonstrating the spirit of being opposed to surveillance. Why even bother?

I have faith in journalists (no irony). So there must be a reason for these things. Maybe I am too dumb to know.

(all questions rethorical)

On a second thought, maybe I need overarching surveillance. I don't know, could be Stockholm Syndrome.

It's not what I really want. I would prefer not being observed.

Yet, I have heard from many people before this urge for justice at all costs, no mercy. Is what they want, isn't it?
