Kuro5hin was pretty big, back in the day. But /. was the biggie, along with need to know. We get the term slashdotted from there, after all.

Oh man, the most helpful article I’ve ever read about depression and burnout was on Kuro5hin. Luckily it’s been preserved on Wikibooks:

Still holds up well two decades later.
