I get it - they worked to produce this content and now they wanted to track me so they could get better advertising revenue.
But I was not interested in the story that I wanted to give my private info, so I decided to go back.
Unfortunately, it appears as if National Geographic is using a dark pattern to try to force people to enter an email - the page would not let me browse away.
