with fingerprint unlock, my phone is ready by the time it's out of my pocket. No touch id, no buy. It's a more obviously useful feature than magsafe or an SD card reader, two things they also bet their business on killing and had to backpeddle on.


Apple needs to be able to recognize when they have a good product that resonates with their customers. I have a 2nd gen IPhone SE and love it. All I want to do is add more storage. Thinking it may be time to get a 3rd gen with more storage? That should do me for another five years! Maybe by then Apple will have figured out that there's a cadre of us who prefer small phones, adequate cameras, and overall simplicity.
