I am not sure what the legal solution should be, but am always amazed that companies like Goodyear or Boeing think that selling stuff they know is dangerous won't eventually blow up in their face.
Reminds of my recent favorite fun fact: when they outlawed asbestos in home building in the Us, they allowed firms with stock on-has to keep using it if they so chose.

It will certainly eventually blow up in someone's face. The strategy is to not be the one holding the hot potato.
So, pocket the bonuses and retire, boasting of you growing profits quarter-to-quarter by eliminating "redudancies" like proper quality assurance and safety checks, and then act shocked when the next person is held accountable for the deaths that began to accrue as a result of your changes. Those deaths won't be noticed for awhile and that's what you're counting on.
