I love the NASA systems engineering handbook.

The pdf is in the public domain, I sent it to a printer, had it bound as hardcover, ribbon bookmarks, I love it.




Yes, it's a great book indeed; unfortunately they removed a lot of very useful stuff in the second edition; some of it went into other books, but unfortunately not everything; this may be because fewer and fewer people are willing to read for themselves; this is also noticeable in practice, where I meet more and more people who have obviously never heard of the fundamental works of the discipline.
