I always see such a lively discussion whenever the topic of audio comes up, that perhaps some of you are familiar with legendary live sound engineer Dave Rat [0]. His Youtube channel [1] was created in October 2006, not long after Youtube itself was launched, so a huge portion of the industry is familiar with his excellent videos. Today the channel got stolen for the purpose of driving traffic to a scam website [2] that promises to double your money instantly, using the familiarity of Elon Musk and Ark Invest to feign legitimacy.
I linked this post to the reddit discussion rather than the channel/video/scam itself, as it will be the most persistent in case Youtube support rolls things back, which is obviously the goal. What are the chances of this getting resolved?
Shoot, now the account has been terminated. My previous comment that control had been regained was likely a DIY effort (i.e. the attacker didn't prevent a password reset flow or anything) judging by a post [0] suggesting same.
