Having a reaction I'm still trying to sort out to this paper lead me to Google "Futamura projection": About 90 results.

How could it be so confidential when it's the basis for the 'native image' GraalVM. There's also a whole book about it, available for free on the web...

Even with quotes I still get “about 5,230 results”. Dunno how you ended up with “about 90 results” in your search.

Maybe you misspelled it, because I get thousands of results on both google and duckduckgo.

Good intro into Futamura projections: https://tomstu.art/compilers-for-free

Futamura projection is an entirely standard concept in staged compilation. The hand-wringing is unwarranted.

"staged compilation" About 19,600 results. Less than half a percent reference "Futamura projection".
