This is a long article but well worth reading. It describes in detail the experiences of an ethnic Kazakh woman who had studied in Canada and who, after returning to China, was imprisoned in Xinjiang under harsh conditions and forced to undergo β€œre-education.” It also reports more broadly on the ongoing campaign of oppression against Uyghurs and Kazakhs by the Chinese government.
