You can also start firefox with a -p flag to get a profile selector on startup.


They're a pain to use though since you need to pass that on the command line.


Right click on the icon, select properties and add the flag in the target.


Yes, that's how I do it too. I have a bunch of Firefox icons in my top panel (Gnome), each one with a different profile. Setting this up is as simple as parent says. You can change the icons too.
