We owe RMS, or Saint Ignucius, a lot. Most of Free Software was made possible by or through him. And although I see his point, I wished he would be more relaxed on some issues. Not all of them, mind you.

I miss Gopher. I remember when the Gopher sites started to display: "This service has been discontinued. Please use WWW instead". I was completely disappointed.

Actually there are still a number of Gopher servers in operation, and you can use Firefox to visit them.
