Anthem had another breach in 2015 [1]. Offered free credit monitoring then as well.

They were sued and settled in 2017 [2].

Two years' credit monitoring plus, for "people who are already enrolled in credit monitoring...up to $50 per person." That looks like B.S. to me. But were I to play devil's advocate, I'd have to point out that the evidence of actual damage done is slim.

I use this [1] and never seen an ad on my LG TV. Its only for Smart TVs. It blocks all the major TV ad networks too but can't tell how successful it is on other TVs since I only have LG.

Hate reading long Twitter threads. Here it is in condensed form. https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1424921645483966466.html

I have an account from early on when they first launched. Got some small BTC in it and never touched it again. Still there. Odd why some got closed. I log into it once every couple of years.

"I log into it once every couple of years." That probably explains it?

They did address it as an error on their part. [https://nakedsecurity.sophos.com/2020/06/09/brave-ceo-apolog...]

"An error in judgment". That's kind of like, I'm sorry we got caught. The fact they thought something this was a good idea at all is telling.

No, it was a bug, the refcode was supposed to go only on keywords (as all browsers do).

And contrary to upthread, we never "replaced links in web pages".

I think it was announced in Google I/O 2018 but here is a link [1] talking about in in fall 2018.

I want flexibility that includes quality games with quality graphics. I'm not looking for high-end gaming PC quality (which I used to own) but close to it. Stadia hits that for me. I play it on TV and laptop depending where I am.

Gaming PCs and consoles will be around for a long time as they serve a market. I hope Stadia builds on their market fit and to become another platform widely used.

They brought over an exec to build the studio. [1]
