This seems to be leveraging capabilities of modern browsers (hence the lack of dependencies) without any crufts, shims etc... for older browsers, which makes it very small. Compared to Raphael ( http://raphaeljs.com ) this seems to be much leaner. I took a rough scan of the features and they seem to be pretty comparable. But it would be interesting to see a few live demos to see whether they're just as smooth in the delivery.
